It is more and more obvious that Gaines is on the verge of 'a little boy'. It's sad, precious and fun all at the same time watching him grow, play and learn. Just over the last few weeks I have witnessed him sing the ABCs by himself and count to 15 by himself (he usually skips two). I didn't even know he could count to 5! He knows his colors - probably all basic ones except black and white. He knows his shapes - circle, square, rectangle, triangle, diamond, heart, and star. He can identify almost all the letters of the alphabet - has trouble with i, s and t for the most part. He thinks the t is an f which makes sense :) He is starting to argue less and less that a 'w' is an 'm'! He can identify matching objects. We were looking at our Easter egg book, and he just started pointing out the eggs of the same design. He is still into coloring and sticker books. But he gets very upset when he cannot get the stickers lined up straight!
