Sonic cooked our Sunday dinner. 

Upon eating this fine meal, Gaines asked, "Mama, do the people at Sonic speak English?" 

Yes, Gaines they do. 

"How do you speak English?"

What do you mean? You are speaking English right now. 

"Well, do the people at Sonic speak Spanish?" 

No. 

"Why not?" 

Because we live in the United States and that means you speak English. 

"What do the people in Coldwater speak?"

(Scott just had to chime into our conversation) Ebonics. 

"EE-BON-ics?!!? What's EE-BON ics?"
