Vacation: Cloudy Days

Our Beach Trip 2014 started off cloudy, windy, rainy, and cold! Yes, cold at the beach. We 'suffered' through it. The pool water was soooo cold I think even the kids were over it rather quickly. This was the view of our balcony. First time ever, not to be beach front. Still a pretty view.

Oh the poses we had this week...

So Day 1, Scott, Gaines and I spent the morning trying to poop. He had a small accident the day before and would not go to the bathroom. We had to make a special trip for swim diapers and Miralax! Finally, we got to the pool. The sun actually came out for a bit, but believe me it was chilly!! He had a BIG time!

This was our beach view looking at our condos. We took a shuttle to this beach.

Other view, looking at the bay and ocean pass the jetty (where all the sharks ended up at the end of the week). It was very different than ocean side. However, it was a nice change with a toddler. Gaines could get his feet wet without a wave knocking him down. With the high winds, waves were huge!

Love this boy

Can't leave home without the chair

He now discovered the sand on his feet.

Beginning the pre-occupation :)

Our little family setup

He would dig and dig and dig

Wow!! I can't believe he wanted Daddy to bury him!!!!

Kids

Running off energy...

Not sure what the bribe was here??

Some pretty sunsets on the Bay

Our pool view with fountains and slides.
(Daddy was disturbed I let him take his pants off!)

Starting Day 2....Finally made it ocean side. Extremely windy - almost painfully windy. Managed to get a little baseball in.

I think she could dig all day.

Back at the coooollllllldd pool!

Can't tell you how many times they jumped off those tiers.

Gaines was a huge fan of the lazy river :o

Me: "Let me take your picture Emily"

E: "Now get this"
Mess.

Can you guess what she is singing?

These days warranted a little play doh

Stormy day 3....we headed to the Pensacola Naval Air Museum. Just so happened the Blue Angels were practicing!

Got in a little more cold swimming in that afternoon.

Warmer and sunnier days ahead....
